Disabled/ Disadvantaged Solopreneurs (DIS Solopreneurs) Program

Mission Statement:
To provide disabled-disadvantaged persons with the tailored resources and information
required to become successful business owners. 

BLS.gov states that in 2021, 9.6 percent of workers with disabilities were self-employed - three percent higher than those without a disability and 19.1 percent of disabled person were employed versus 63.7 percent of those without a disability.
 
Disabled-disadvantaged persons are often in need of business development resources that are uniquely tailored to their disability.  The Insightful Visionaries DIS Solopreneurs Program will provide these valuable resources to a community of prospective and thriving business owners.
 
DIS Solopreneurs will assist with:
·  Refining the business’s idea/mission
·  Choosing the business’s legal structure (insurance, permits, license, trademark)
·  Guidance for developing a Business Plan
·  Properly pricing goods & services for profit
·  Determining a Marketing plan (branding, website, social media)
·  Proper accounting for business income and expenses
 
DIS Solopreneurs’ goal is to be a one-stop resource for disabled-disadvantaged business owners on their journey to developing a thriving, income-producing enterprise.
