Insightful Visionaries successfully hosted the 2017 Blind Idol Singing Competition, which attracted national attention. Contestants from all over the country were chosen to compete at Raleigh’s Renaissance North Hills Hotel Semi-Finals on June 3, 2017. Our Featured Guest Performer was Teen Piano Prodigy Matthew Whitaker, international recording artist. It was very timely that Matthew appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show shortly before the event. many attendees commented “I just had to see his amazing talent in person”.
A panel of 3 judges selected five Semi-Finalists from 15 contestants. Each contestant received a certificate of participation. A trophy was awarded to each of the 5 Semi-Finalists, who then moved on to the Blind Idol Finale in Winston-Salem on August 12. The 2017 Blind Idol Winner, Jordan Scheffer of Asheville NC, was chosen by a panel of (3) judges at the live finale, and received a Grand Prize package valued at $3,000. This is inclusive of $1,000 cash, 8 hours of recording time in a Winston-Salem recording studio, and a professional headshot.
The 2018 Eastern Regional Semi-Finals , will be sponsored by Insightful Visionaries and held at the historic Carolina Theater in Durham, NC.
